SUNY Niagara has a need for a part‑time Music Instructor for our Aural Skills I course. The course is taught in person in a classroom setting on the Sanborn, NY campus and focuses on aural perception, audiation, sight‑singing and dictation training of rhythm, melody and harmony. Class sessions primarily involve individual and group participation activities to build aural perception, with listening examples and outside practice.
Remuneration for this position is: $1,008 per lecture hour / $903 per lab hour.
Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population; speak in front of groups; effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community; develop, prepare and present information; operate computers; physically perform the duties of the position; adjust teaching to American with Disabilities Act provisions.
