Job summary

SUNY Niagara is seeking a part-time Music/Theatre Instructor to teach Introduction to Sound on the Sanborn, NY campus in person. The course blends lecture, demonstration, laboratory work and performance, covering audio engineering, sound principles, equipment operation, and end-to-end audio production.

Practical experience is gained by participating in theatre space productions and other audio-related shows during the semester.

Qualifications

• Required: Must be certified in AVID ProTools software.
• Possess extensive knowledge in both Analog & Digital sound equipment and proper setup.
• 3 years’ of experience in the field of live sound setups.

Responsibilities

• Teach course on campus.
• Track attendance as needed
• Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester
• Report grades at the conclusion of the semester
