Job summary

Pima Community College is seeking a part-time CHW Instructor to deliver classroom and lab-based CHW instruction, mentor students, and help prepare a skilled workforce addressing community health needs.

The role may include evenings and weekends with local travel. 19.5 hours per week, two temporary positions, per class compensation of $6,366, and a flexible workload within the West Campus - Health Professions department.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of community health practices and CHW standards.
• Ability to develop and deliver student-centered instruction.
• Ability to mentor and support CHW students.
• Knowledge of state CHW certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide CHW instruction aligned with program curriculum.
• Supervise and mentor students to support program completion.
• Develop lesson plans, materials, and assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and hours.
• Collaborate with program leadership for improvement.
• Model professionalism in CHW field.
