Job summary

The BRIDGE seeks a compassionate Part-Time GED Instructor to empower adults 18-30 on their journey toward GED completion and future opportunities. You will teach GED subjects, support skill development, and mentor students in a respectful, engaging learning environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (25 hours/week). The ideal candidate fosters perseverance, communicates effectively with diverse learners, and helps students set and reach educational and career goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is preferred.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or working with adult learners is preferred.
• Knowledge of GED curriculum and adult education best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide GED instruction in mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies.
• Develop lesson plans and activities aligned with GED standards.
• Assess student progress and provide individualized support.
• Prepare students for GED testing and future opportunities.
• Maintain attendance and progress reports.
