Job summary

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors for upcoming roadway and bridge projects in New Jersey. You will perform inspection and QA oversight, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance on active construction sites while representing GFT and our clients.

Ideal candidates have 20+ years of inspection experience, NJDOT/NJTA familiarity, and relevant certifications. Travel to project sites and a valid license are required, with a full-time onsite schedule and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of construction inspection experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for site travel.
• Experience with NJDOT and/or NJTA inspection procedures and documentation.
• Certifications such as NICET II to IV, TCC, NJSAT, ACI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and quality assurance oversight on roadway and bridge projects.
• Monitor contractor work activities including asphalt paving, roadway, bridge, and related infrastructure improvements.
• Complete daily inspection reports documenting progress, materials, and contract compliance.
• Review construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and client standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and client representatives to address field conditions and maintain quality.
• Represent the client and GFT at project sites with professional communication and field presence.
• Remain onsite during contractor operations to verify adherence to approved procedures and construction practices.
• Work schedule must be flexible to accommodate day, evening, and weekend shifts.

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our team for upcoming roadway and bridge projects in the New Jersey area. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be an important part of critical construction efforts for large-scale roadway and bridge transportation projects in New Jersey.

As a n Inspector, you will help ensure quality, safety, and compliance while representing GFT and our client's across active construction sites. Your work will play a direct role in delivering roadway and bridge improvements that communities rely on every day, from safer travel to stronger infrastructure that supports growth across New Jersey.

Education | Experience:

• High School Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years of construction inspection experience, with strong experience on NJDOT, NJTA, and public roadway and bridge projects.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
• Experience with NJDOT and/or NJTA inspection procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements.
• Certifications such as NICET II to IV, TCC, NJSAT, ACI is preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $175,000; Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
