FTAI Aviation Ltd. in Orange, CA seeks an Inspector, Receiving to join our aviation repair station.

The role focuses on high pressure compressor blades for jet engines, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance of next-generation powerplants, with 2nd shift 1pm-9:30pm, Fridays 6am-2:30pm. Candidates must read technical drawings, use micrometers, indicators, optical comparators and borescopes, and comply with FAA/EASA standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with common inspection tools (micrometers, indicators, optical comparators, borescopes).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, advanced repair techniques, and FAA/EASA regulatory compliance. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional inspections on HPC blades and vanes using approved tools and gauges.
  • Verify conformity to specifications and repair manuals.
  • Identify defects such as cracks, wear, erosion, or distortion, and document findings accurately.
  • Interpret inspection criteria, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Record inspection results in accordance with company and FAA documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve nonconformance issues.
  • Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and work areas.

This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of next-generation aircraft powerplants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual, dimensional inspect ions on HPC blades and vanes using approved tools and gauges.
