Job summary

Gildan is seeking a Warehouse Associate to monitor quality checks and maintain product flow in the distribution center in Charleston, SC. You will coordinate with DC teams and document findings as part of daily operations.

The role requires standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and proficiency with basic WMS and RF scanners. Good communication and teamwork are essential in this hands-on facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality checks of incoming/outgoing product and maintain on-time flow.
  • Coordinate priorities with DC operations and document findings.
  • Operate RF equipment to support inventory scanning and data entry.
  • Wear PPE as required and follow safety procedures.

The opportunity
  • Monitors quality checks/verifications of incoming/outgoing product on a routine basis.
  • Monitors quality of incoming/outgoing product per detailed procedures.
  • Coordinates work priorities with DC operations.
  • Documents any quality findings per the detailed procedures.
  • Keeps product flow through the DC on time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
  • This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

The requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 6 Months to 1 Year related experience
  • Work requires almost continuous moderate physical effort OR frequent heavy physical effort (several times a day).
  • Significant exposure to several disagreeable conditions or to one very disagreeable condition.
  • Recurring exposure to slightly hazardous elements or occasional exposure to moderately hazardous elements; limited risk of mild injury or health problems.
  • May be asked or required to wear PPE to protect from hazards.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred
  • Basic Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
  • Prior experience operating Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, i.e., scanners, etc. preferred.
  • Must be able to stand, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day.
  • Good verbal and written communication required
  • Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, safety warnings, and equipment operations.
  • Vision is required in order to operate a RF keyboard and/or scanner, and to complete required data entry.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language effectively
  • Must be able to work in a team-based environment
