Job summary

Gildan in Jacksonville, FL is hiring for a Warehouse Associate within our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team. In this role you will monitor quality checks, coordinate work priorities with DC operations, and ensure timely product flow through the distribution center, while following detailed procedures.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 6 months to 1 year related experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and reading/writing English.

• This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

The requirements

• High School Diploma
• 6 Months to 1 Year related experience
• Work requires almost continuous moderate physical effort OR frequent heavy physical effort (several times a day).
• Significant exposure to several disagreeable conditions or to one very disagreeable condition.
• Recurring exposure to slightly hazardous elements or occasional exposure to moderately hazardous elements; limited risk of mild injury or health problems.
• May be asked or required to wear PPE to protect from hazards.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred
• Basic Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, i.e., scanners, etc. preferred.
• Must be able to stand, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day.
• Good verbal and written communication required
• Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, safety warnings, and equipment operations.
• Vision is required in order to operate a RF keyboard and/or scanner, and to complete required data entry.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language effectively
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment
