Job summary

ProAmpac in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily operations in a packaging manufacturing environment. You will operate equipment, read work orders, inspect materials, and package outgoing goods to meet specifications.

The role requires the ability to move and weigh items up to 50 pounds, maintain cleanliness, document transactions, and collaborate with multiple teams. Second shift hours are 2:45PM-11:00PM; standard benefits and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

  • Prior equipment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and work orders.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure.
  • Solid working knowledge of warehouse processes and related manufacturing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), email and calendar capabilities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Safely Operate equipment as needed including motorized forklift with attachments, packaging/wrapping machinery, label equipment, banders, gluers, etc.
  • Ability to receive and maintain equipment certification if applicable.
  • Accurately Read and follow instructions.
  • Inspect material to ensure customer specifications have been met.
  • Package outgoing materials to meet customer specifications and internal protocols.
  • Move material within facility according to protocol, may include weighing, scanning, stacking, transporting & arranging.
  • Keep work and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging and cleanliness requirements.
  • Verification and tracking of all material moved including quantity, size, and packaging.
  • Complete all necessary documents for internal or external use.
  • Works with supervision.
  • Maybe required to work in multiple areas or with multiple teams.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

This role will regularly use plant machinery which certification may be required. This role routinely works around moving equipment. May need to get on and off equipment, stairs, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
