Job summary

ProAmpac in Westfield, MA is seeking a full-time Packaging Operator to operate roll wrappers, stretch wrappers, banders, roll movers, and a forklift/clamp truck. The role ensures proper packaging, labeling, and compliance with customer requirements.

You will move materials, review orders, maintain cleanliness, and support food safety programs. This position requires reliability, physical stamina, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating packaging machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow detailed packaging instructions and customer requirements.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment with safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll wrappers, stretch wrappers, bander, roll movers, fork/clamp truck and other related equipment.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished product to meet customer requirements.
• Move materials by hand, forklift, roll handler and shuttle.
• Review orders for specific packaging instructions.
• Maintain clean wrapping area and comply with Food Safety and Pre-requisite programs.

• Material movement by hand, forklift, roll handler and shuttle.
• Responsible to review orders for specific packaging instructions.
• Responsible for ensuring the wrapping area is cleaned prior to wrapping rolls.
• Responsible for day to day compliance with Food Safety and Pre-requisite programs.
• Recycling racks.
