Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Illinois is seeking a Packer to inspect and package plastic products, ensuring quality and readiness for shipment. This full-time role offers growth potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work on a fast-paced production line, monitor packaging materials, and help keep work areas clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
• Ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects.
• Package products according to specifications and seal properly.
• Label packages with product information and warnings.
• Monitor production line efficiency and address packaging issues.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and collaborate on fixes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Monitor and restock packaging materials as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role preferred.
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record‑keeping.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy objects as needed.
