Abbott Tool in O’Fallon, MO is seeking an Inspector Machine Operator to inspect and package manufactured parts and to operate resistance welders on a full-time basis. The role includes loading fixtures, ensuring material availability, and submitting first offs to QA for approval.

You will read blueprints, perform basic measurements with calipers and micrometers, and adjust welders or fixtures to meet blueprint specs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, instructions and manuals.
• Adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides; understands blueprints.
• Ability to understand written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspection and packaging of components and manufactured parts.
• Assembles, installs and aligns fixtures or assemblies per specification.
• Ensures required parts and materials are available.
• Load and unload fixtures and make necessary adjustments.
• Submit first off sample to QA for approval.
• Adjust welder or fixture to meet blueprint specs.
• Perform basic measurements with calipers, micrometers, scales and gauges.
• Other duties as required.
