Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking an Inspector Level III to define inspection processes, certify inspectors, and represent inspections under a quality management program. The role requires a solid practical background in construction materials and techniques to establish acceptance criteria where none exist.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or construction-related discipline with 4 years of related experience (or 8 years in lieu).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or construction-related discipline from an accredited college or university and 4 years of related experience, or 8 years related experience, or 8 years prior experience as a Level II Inspector.
• Knowledge of construction practices (e.g., formwork, rebar, concrete placing, etc.)
• Demonstrated skill and knowledge with applicable quality codes and standards and preferably NRC regulations.

Baker Construction – Inspector Level III

The Inspector Level III is responsible for defining inspection processes and certifying co‑workers who perform inspections. He/she is certified in specific disciplines, has a detailed understanding of applicable codes and standards, and is qualified to represent inspection for a given discipline under a specific quality management program. The role requires a sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication, and product technology to establish techniques and assist in establishing acceptance criteria when none are otherwise available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction‑related discipline from an accredited college or university and 4 years of related experience, or 8 years related experience, or 8 years prior experience as a Level II Inspector.

Compensation

Compensation for this position is expected to range from $84,615 to $110,000 annually. Actual compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, training, skills, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs.
