Job summary

Kurt Manufacturing seeks an Inspector II to verify incoming materials, in-process and finished products align with quality standards and customer specs. This role is on 2nd shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am M-Th, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Fri, with a 20% shift differential.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment parts with precision instruments, interpreting drawings, recording results, and addressing deviations to maintain product quality across processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• May perform receiving, in-process and final inspection using precision gauges such as CMM, micrometers and calipers.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders and specifications to determine tolerances.
• Test finished products for dimensions, fit and appearance.
• Complete inspection reports and non-conforming material tags.
• Analyze results and assist in addressing production deviations.
• Recommend modifications to quality/production standards as needed.
• May devise unusual measuring setups as required.
• Conduct spot checks of parts in progress to ensure specs.

Job Summary

The Inspector II checks and inspects in-coming materials, in-process, and finished products, ensuring conformance to company quality standards and customer specifications.

2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am M-Th, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Fri

Shift Differential: Second shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential on top of base pay.

Compensation

The anticipated hourly starting rate for this position is between $26.29 to $35.05. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions

• May provide receiving, in-process and final inspection for quality, appearance and performance of complicated equipment, instruments or products, or of diversified parts and assemblies using precision testing equipment, including CMM, micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
• Test finished products for dimensions, fit, surface finish, and appearance.
• Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, non-conforming material tags, and return material notices.
• Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• May be required to devise unusual measuring or gauging set-ups.
• May make periodic spot checks of variety of parts in progress for adherence to specifications.
