Job summary

Camaco LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (6pm–4:30am, 6 days a week) in Portage, MI. You will inspect purchased parts, subassemblies and finished goods against defined criteria, document results, and participate in problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required is a High School diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience with understanding of competencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Inspect purchased parts, subassemblies and finished products using defined criteria and measurements.
• Rework or reject items as required to meet quality standards.
• Audit documents and systems following written procedures.
• Accurately document inspection and testing results.
• Review and generate scrap tags for defects.
• Engage in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

2nd shift is currently 6pm to 4:30am, 6 days a week

$17.25/ hr + $.50/hr shift differential

Responsible for inspecting purchased parts, subassemblies or finished products according to defined criteria to ensure quality products are delivered to customers. The department is structured as a formal team, and requires the ability to work within the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies and finished company products according to defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
• Rework or reject subassemblies or finished products as required.
• Conduct document process and system audits using written procedures.
• Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
• Review and generate scrap defective tags.
• Problem solving.
• Continuous improvement activities.
• Various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• 1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2. One -Two years of manufacturing experience with an understanding of competencies.

The work requires regular standing, walking, bending, lifting and a variety of physical activities. Travel to customer locations as needed.
