Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC in Melrose Park, Illinois seeks a Production Inspector to visually inspect filled products on the filling line, in the Capping Department and off-line inspection area, following SOPs and cGMP.

Responsibilities include defect inspection, accurate documentation, operation of inspection equipment, and startup procedures such as filter integrity tests and line clearances. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills for calculations (multiplication/division).
  • Visual ability to detect defective vials.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must maintain acceptable visual acuity.
  • Must meet visual inspection qualification requirements.
  • English language proficiency for policies and training materials.

  • Complies with current SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Sets up, adjusts, and operates equipment such as inspection machines, cappers, etc.
  • Performs and documents critical start-up procedures for filling operation such as filter integrity test, line clearance, component verification, etc.
  • Performs and documents quality checks on product.
  • Calculates percent defective on inspection results and reconciles components on batch record.
  • Loads and unloads vials from turntables.
  • Stacks, wraps and moves pallets of product.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate: $19.91 per hour.

Overnight Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

Responsible for visually inspecting filled product off the filling line following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP). The production inspector will work in the Capping Department and on the off-line inspection area and therefore must be knowledgeable of procedures and equipment in each area.

  • Visually inspects products for various defects.
