Fresenius Kabi USA in Melrose Park, IL, is seeking a Production Inspector to visually inspect filled products off the filling line and support the capping department. The role requires adherence to SOPs and cGMP, completing startup and quality checks, and accurate documentation.

You will operate inspection machines and cappers, handle pallets, and perform other duties as assigned, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1–3 years pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to perform required calculations (multiplication/division).
• Visual ability to detect defective vials.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must maintain acceptable visual acuity.
• Must be able to maintain visual inspection qualification requirements.
• The Company’s primary business language is English; ability to read and write in English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects products for various defects.
• Documents work accurately and timely.
• Complies with current SOP’s and cGMP’s.
• Sets-up, adjusts, and operates equipment such as inspection machines, cappers, etc.
• Performs and documents critical start-up procedures for filling operation such as filter integrity test, line clearance, component verification, etc.
• Performs and documents quality checks on product.
• Calculates percent defective on inspection results and reconciles components on batch record.
• Loads and unloads vials from turntables. Stacks, wraps and moves pallets of product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate: $19.91 per hour

Overnight Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour

Responsibilities

Responsible for visually inspecting filled product off the filling line following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP). The production inspector will work in the Capping Department and on the off-line inspection area and therefore must be knowledgeable of procedures and equipment in each area.
