About the Role:
Perform inspection of production work operations and materials on projects and assemblies for conformance to specifications and standards. Perform the complete examination and interpretation of Ultrasonic/ Eddy current, Radiographic, and nondestructive tests for conformance of production materials, weldments, purchased parts, and workmanship to establish requirements. Certify welding equipment and/or personnel in conformance with established requirements.
What You Will Do:
Plan and interpret inspection procedures, sequence setup, and mathematical computation required, working from engineering design prints, drawings, and work orders
May be required to make surface plate or table setup and/or layout part to check dimensional deviation using precision measuring instruments
Approve acceptable items and reject unacceptable items, and verify reoperation required. Maintain records and paperwork as required
Perform complete visual and other required inspections of electrical/electronic components, subassemblies, assemblies, and complete systems
Set up and operate testing equipment and fixtures as required
Set up, calibrate, and operate various types of Ultrasonic/Eddy current equipment using calibration test blocks and interpret findings
May assist Engineering in the development of operating standards, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair procedures of new or established systems
Set up and operate radiographic equipment and visually examine radiographic film and interpret findings
Observe techniques of fusion welders and resistance welders during certification tests and examine test specimen to determine quality standards are met; issue certification to those who qualify; certify resistance welding equipment
Perform various clerical duties necessary in the control of inspection stamps
Issue, control, and make minor repair to inspection stamps. Maintain records for furnaces, ovens, and fusion welders
Collect samples of various cleaning chemicals for testing and update cleaning facility records
Perform such typical operations as the inspection of production parts and assemblies for quality, cleanliness, workmanship, gauge, hardness, and close tolerance dimensions
Perform fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle and dye penetrant tests. Interpret to accept or reject parts according to specifications
May grind surfaces of parts to aid in determining extent of flaws

Must possess demonstrated computer skills
Ability to read drawings and schematics
Available to work on 1st or 2nd Shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Experience using BAAN
