Job summary

Novo Manufacturing Llc is seeking an Inspector to handle, inspect, and label finished products at moulders and embossers. You will coordinate with machine operators to apply labels and address quality issues on the line.

The role requires safety awareness, the ability to read a tape measure and route sheets, and the stamina to stand and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced wood manufacturing environment. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assure quality of moulding/parts at outfeed.
• Label products correctly as they are inspected.
• Communicate quality issues to machine operator/supervision.

Position SummaryThe Inspector will handle, inspect, and label all completed products at moulders and embossers. They will communicate with machine operator and supervision as needed for necessary changes.Essential ResponsibilitiesInspects and assures quality of moulding/parts at “outfeed” end of moulders and embossers.Ensures proper placement of labels on product as it is being inspected.Notifies machine operator of any quality issues related to machine operations.Informs group leader and plant manager of quality issues related to labels and wood parts.Follows specific directions as defined on route sheets.Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications (Required)Must be 18 years of age or older.High School Diploma and GEDMust be able to read a tape measure.Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements.Effectively uses required PPE and company approved tools with awareness of surroundings and potential safety hazards while maintaining a safe work area.Demonstrates the ability to safely manage awkward product lengths and weights.Capability to read, comprehend and execute verbal commands, written procedures, basic math skills and standard work instructions.Must be able to maintain work pace required to achieve production demands and complete required paperwork.Follow all safety rules and guidelines according to OSHA standard and company policies.Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in manufacturing environment.Prior experience operating woodworking equipment with proven safety record.Travel RequirementsNo travel requirementsPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp.80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception.50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment.10%: Working bent at waist, climbing, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, bending or twisting.Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
