Job summary

Data Device Corporation in Bohemia, NY is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our onsite team. You will examine precision parts and assemblies, using gauges and blueprints to approve or reject items, and document findings for customer inspections.

Required are a high school diploma or vocational training, at least 3 years of inspection experience, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and strict cleanroom procedure adherence. Lift up to 20 lbs and mobility between stations are expected.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail required for precision inspections.
• Ability to interpret measurement data and reject items when out of spec.
• Cleanroom procedures must be followed including smock, hair net and air shower when entering.

Responsibilities

• Inspect precision parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, first-piece, in-process and incoming parts using inspection tools and gauges.
• Set up and use gauging and measuring instruments for checking work.
• Approve or reject all items inspected. Identify reasons for rejects, write up inspection reports as required and record test data.
• Perform visual inspections of electrical connections for purely mechanical faults and/or electrical continuity verification.
• Prepare product and documentation for Customer Source Inspections

Salary Range for this position is $22.00 - 24.00 hourly, depending on experience.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

Position Summary:

Inspect and evaluate precision parts and assemblies using various tools and gauges, approving or rejecting items based on detailed inspections, and documenting findings and preparation for customer inspections.

Key Position Accountabilities:

• Inspect precision parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, first-piece, in-process and incoming parts using inspection tools and gages
• Set up and use gauging and measuring instruments for checking work
• Approve or reject all items inspected. Identify reasons for rejects, write up inspection reports as required and record test data

• Must adhere to company procedures for working in a cleanroom environment, to include smock, hair net and use of air shower when entering
