Job summary

Hose Master, LLC, a family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Cleveland, OH, is hiring a Final/Receiving Inspector to inspect products and materials for defects. The role involves cross-training across departments as needed, reading blueprints, and verifying dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and other tools.

The inspector will document inspection data, print PMI reports, and prepare shipment paperwork while ensuring adherence to Work Instructions and PMI criteria.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Inspect all products to Work Instructions.
• Ability to use and read micrometers and calipers.
• Competent in basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and specifications.
• Dimensionally inspects, tests, or measures materials or products.
• Measures products with rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, tape measure, or Pi tape.
• Accepts or rejects finished or Raw Material items.
• Removes all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Discusses inspection results with Dept. Supervisor, Area Leader, and Dept. Engineer.
• Reports inspection and test data as needed.
• Enter into NC Log database.
• Follows all Work instructions for Final Inspection and Non-conforming product criteria.
• Prints material certifications for customer orders as required.
• Prepares shipment paperwork as required and performs additional training duties.
• Packages orders for customer shipments as required.
• Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks.
• Qualified for PMI inspection.
• Perform receiving inspection of components from suppliers using measuring instruments.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Final/Receiving Inspector will inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications. Required to cross train across company departments based on business needs.

• Utilizes RFA to offer ideas and solutions with involvement from Plant Management Team
• Competent in basic computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist and kneel
