Job Summary

Quality Inspector – Manufacturing. Pay is $27.75/hr plus a 10% shift differential. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The posting will close on 9/30/26.

Basic Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalency.
• At least 3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring devices such as optical comparators, ohm meters, leak detectors, CMMs, dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Intermediate proficiency with basic computer applications, including Oracle and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to obtain specific knowledge in Electrical or Mechanical Inspection.
• Understanding of blueprints and process sheet interpretation, including GD&T, and willingness to pass a visual acuity exam.
• Ability to obtain brazing, welding, and solder inspection certifications as required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to assure product quality.
• Identify and document non-conforming parts while maintaining inspection records in Oracle.
• Inspect all raw materials and purchased parts to determine conformance to design requirements.
• Apply statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required.
• Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third‑party requirements.
• Assist in root cause analysis and communicate findings to the team.
• Work with limited supervision, performing manual set‑up, testing, and troubleshooting including performance testing and trim grind.
• Maintain a complete understanding of all inspection equipment within the department.
• Keep shift operators informed of special problems affecting operation or set‑up and cross‑train other employees as needed.
• Complete written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Report problems to the appropriate resource or coach and proactively work to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Participate in and support team initiatives, utilize proper PPE and safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
• Coaches and exemplify GE Leadership behaviors.
• Perform duties on complex, prototype or first‑time builds and final inspection responsibilities as required.
• Perform and document First Article inspections; perform complex testing such as surge test, dielectric, hipot, helium leak check, ATP, and hardness testing as required.
• Complete any other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with customer requirements and audit processes.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality system requirements.
• Preferred assembly, solder, or electronics manufacturing experience.
• Prior experience in a self‑directed team environment and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Intermediate understanding of special processes such as brazing, soldering, welding, and coating.
• Strong communicator, decision‑maker, and collaborator with problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications to analyze data.
• Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

Physical Demands

• Must continuously use hands and fingers repetitively.
• Must occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
• Must continuously sit, lift up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 22 lbs.

Legal & Safety Requirements

The role may involve hazardous operations with chemicals and may require shift work beyond a standard workweek. Candidates must be at least 18 years old by the time of joining, pass a visual acuity exam, and succeed an employment drug screen as applicable.

Compensation & Benefits

In addition to the hourly rate and shift differential, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary.
