Job Description Summary

High School Education or GED equivalency required. 3+ years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficient with hand tools and measuring devices (dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, ohm meters, leak check, CMM, etc.). Intermediate computer skills with Oracle and Microsoft applications. Willingness to obtain additional certifications in electrical or mechanical inspection and in brazing, welding, or solder inspection as required. Must pass a visual acuity exam and be able to work with limited supervision.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficiency with hand tools and measuring devices (e.g., dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, optical comparators, ohm meters, leak check, CMM)
  • Intermediate computer skills (Oracle, Microsoft Office)
  • Willingness to obtain certifications in electrical or mechanical inspection, brazing, welding, or soldering
  • Ability to pass a visual acuity exam
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Use manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to assure product quality
  • Identify and document non-conforming parts, maintaining inspection records in Oracle
  • Inspect raw materials and purchased parts for conformance to design specifications
  • Apply statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required
  • Follow internal process specifications and third‑party requirements
  • Assist in root cause analysis and communicate findings to the team
  • Set up, test, and troubleshoot equipment, including performance testing and trim grinding
  • Maintain knowledge of all inspection equipment operation in the department
  • Cross-train other employees as needed
  • Complete written and electronic labor tracking documentation accurately
  • Report problems to appropriate resources or coaches and proactively work to improve efficiency and quality
  • Support team initiatives and adhere to safety procedures, including proper PPE
  • Use advanced testing methods (surge test, dielectric, hipot, helium leak check, ATP, hardness testing) as required
  • Perform final inspection duties and First Article inspections as required
Desired Qualifications
  • 3–5 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with customer requirements, audits, and AS9100 quality system
  • Preferred experience in assembly, solder, or electronics manufacturing
  • Self‑directed team experience and strong teamwork skills
  • Understanding of special processes such as brazing, soldering, welding, coating
  • Analytical problem‑solver with strong communication, decision‑making, and collaborative leadership abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications for data analysis (Word, Excel, Oracle)
  • Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles
Physical Demands
  • Continuous use of hands and fingers with repetitive motions
  • Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, or balancing
  • Ability to sit continuously and occasionally lift up to 20 lb; push/pull up to 22 lb
  • Work may involve hazardous operations, chemicals, and non‑standard shift schedules; must be at least 18 years of age upon joining
Compensation & Benefits

Base pay: $27.75 per hour plus 10% shift differential. Position eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary commissions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, Health Coach, Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) with company match and contributions, tuition assistance, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, and paid vacation or illness time.
