STV currently has openings for Inspectors in the Transportation group in New York.

This project is a high visibility rail tunnel project in NYC.

Schedule: Swing Shift, Nights, and Weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on existing conditions, work being performed, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Prepare written documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
• Review and mark plans and specifications to ensure and track compliance with the work performed.
• Observe work conditions for compliance with safety regulations.
• Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, and follow through on projects to successful completion.
• Communicate with various parties on work progress in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction supervision/inspection.
• Experience with rail, tunnel, structural, or station work preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Advanced certifications (NICET, ACI, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to pass TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at a high level.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on site location.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
