Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking an Inspection Operator for 2nd shift to help produce high-quality sausage products. You will work with a skilled team to meet safety, yield, usage, and efficiency targets while following Johnsonville Way and GMPs.

You will perform setup, operation, and teardown of inspection equipment, document materials in SAP, and ensure accurate production records. Candidates should be comfortable in cold environments and willing to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math background.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to set up inspection equipment independently after proper training.
• Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain GMPs.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Willing to learn basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Must have a very keen eye for visual inspection purposes.
• Ability to learn and accurately perform all SAP transactions.

Responsibilities

• Setup, run, rotate positions, teardown, and inspection of equipment in your area including hot water washes all by following proper safety lock out tag out procedures.
• Operate inspection equipment including Dumpers, X-Rays, and the production line.
• Take ownership for daily accurate SAP documentation of products/supplies (including scanning, counting to verify materials, and document quantities).
• Complete production documentation paperwork accurately.
• Able to effectively manage meat inventory (i.e. meat age).
• Must be able to manage the quality of materials used (i.e. rejecting bad materials, etc.).
• Communicate between Scheduler, Production Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Production Reports as needed.

Position Overview

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
