Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision mechanical inspections from dimensioned drawings using calipers, micrometers, surface plate, height gauges, gage blocks, gage pins, optical comparator, toolmakers microscope, coordinate measuring machine, and other standard inspection equipment.
• Perform visual inspections of electronic assemblies using microscopes & magnifiers.
• Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reports when required.
• Communicate discrepant findings verbally and via written discrepancy reports to Supplier Quality Engineers/Technicians (SQE/SQT).
• Independently perform source inspection at local suppliers.
• Participate in MRB meetings to support SQE/SQT's.
• Accurately maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
• Identify equipment needs for jobs requiring new or custom metrology tools.
• Identify Dock to Stock (DTS) candidates per established procedures. Present nominations to SQE.
• Work closely with buyers, planners, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and program leadership.
• Support SQE/SQT with routine supplier audits when required.

Basic Qualification:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience maintaining records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
• IPC-A-610 Certification
• Hexagon CMM certification (PC-DMIS software)
• Keyence Vision system programming experience
• Optical lens inspection experience
