Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking an entry‑level Hazmat Decontamination Technician to join our safety‑focused team in Oregon. You will perform waste pickups, chemical bulking, labeling, and packaging while supporting spill response on customer sites.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Hazmat Decontamination experience preferred.
  • Willingness to complete background check, drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Make waste pickups at customer facilities.
  • Perform chemical bulking and consolidation.
  • Package and label waste to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Assist in spill response at customer sites as needed.
  • Operate forklifts as required.
  • Inspect drums for integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure safe loading/unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
  • Complete waste stream sampling and profiling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

InSite Technicians perform a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Making waste pickups throughout a customer's facility;
  • Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation;
  • Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
  • Participating in spill response on customer's site as needed;
  • Operating forklifts;
  • Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
  • Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;
  • Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.
