Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking Environmental Field Technicians in Decatur, AL. This entry-level role involves performing waste pickups, packaging, labeling, and spill response at customer sites while prioritizing safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Grade 4 Industrial Wastewater License preferred.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups at a customer facility.
• Conduct chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Package and label waste for efficiency and compliance.
• Participate in spill response on customer site as needed.
• Operate forklifts.
• Inspect drums for containment and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
• Complete waste stream sampling and profiling.

Responsibilities

InSiteTechnicians perform a wide range of tasks, including:

• Making waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility;
• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation;
• Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
• Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed;
• Operating forklifts;
• Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
• Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.
