Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an entry level Chemical Handler to join a safety-conscious team. You will perform a variety of tasks including waste pickups at customer facilities, chemical bulking, packaging and labeling, and participation in spill response.

Training is provided to ensure you can work safely and advance your career. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to pass background checks and a drug test.

Qualifications

• Entry level role with training provided
• Willingness to complete background check, drug test, and physical
• Ability to learn and apply safety procedures in handling waste

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups at a customer’s facility
• Conduct chemical bulking and consolidation
• Package and label waste products to maximize efficiency and compliance
• Participate in spill response on customer sites as needed
• Operate forklifts
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance
• Ensure safe loading/unloading of waste hauling vehicles
• Complete waste stream sampling and profiling

InSiteTechnicians perform a wide range of tasks, including:

• Making waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility;
• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation;
• Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
