Role Overview

As part of the ISA team, the Analyst will support ISA Game Show leads and collaborate with partners across Development, Production, Marketing, PR, Franchise, and other teams. The role uses audience data, consumer research, social intelligence, and marketplace analysis to help answer key business questions and inform creative development, content strategy, marketing, and franchise growth.

The Analyst will support series throughout their lifecycle—from development and concept testing through launch and ongoing performance—and help the team understand what audiences want, why content resonates, and where opportunities exist in the marketplace.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, clear communication, and a passion for television and audience behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze content performance and audience behavior across linear television, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
  • Produce regular performance reporting and custom analyses, identifying key trends, drivers, and implications for the business.
  • Support qualitative and quantitative primary research, including concept, pilot, episode, creative, and marketing testing.
  • Use syndicated research, audience measurement, and consumer data to answer questions about content, audiences, and the entertainment landscape.
  • Analyze social conversation, fandom, sentiment, and digital engagement to understand audience behaviors and identify emerging trends.
  • Partner with Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Science teams on larger-scale analyses, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Validate and reconcile multiple data sources to ensure accuracy and quality across analyses and reporting.
Content Strategy, Development & Marketplace Intelligence
  • Support ISA genre leads and cross-functional partners with insights that inform development, production, marketing, and franchise strategy.
  • Track the television and streaming landscape, genre trends, competitive programming, and changing audience behaviors to identify opportunities and areas of growth.
  • Support the evaluation of new series, concepts, formats, spin-offs, and franchise extensions through audience research, competitive analysis, and marketplace assessment.
  • Develop landscape analyses and case studies to identify audience trends, genre whitespace, and learnings from relevant programming and franchises.
  • Support launch and post-launch analyses to understand content performance and identify learnings for future programming and marketing decisions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of trends across Game Shows.
Strategic Storytelling & Collaboration
  • Bring together audience data, consumer insights, social intelligence, and marketplace trends to develop clear, actionable insights.
  • Create strategic, succinct, and visually compelling presentations, dashboards, and other deliverables for internal stakeholders.
  • Translate complex data and research into clear narratives that explain what happened, why it matters, and what we can learn from it.
  • Collaborate with ISA genre leads and partners across Development, Production, Marketing, PR, Franchise Management, and other teams to address key business questions.
  • Proactively identify interesting patterns, emerging trends, and new questions within the data.
  • Approach assignments with curiosity and a consultative mindset, seeking to understand the business question behind the request rather than simply reporting data.
Requirements:
  • 4–6 years of experience in media and entertainment research, consumer insights, analytics, strategy, market research, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience with Nielsen audience measurement tools such as NPower, NNTV, SVOD Content Ratings, Total Content Ratings, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative consumer research methods.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Foundational understanding of the television and entertainment landscape, including linear, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
  • Familiarity with entertainment and consumer research tools such as Ampere, Luminate, MRI-Simmons, eMarketer, ePoll, or similar platforms is a plus.
