Job summary

Cape Fox Facilities Services seeks an Insider Threat Detection Analyst to support a Federal Agency in the National Capital Region. The role centers on identifying insider threats and reporting findings using host-based detection tools and security analytics.

The analyst will monitor network activity, correlate events, build threat profiles, produce analytical reports, and assist in incident response, with potential shift hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• Experience with insider threat programs or security analytics.
• Knowledge of National Insider Threat Policy and Federal Investigative Standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct multi-disciplinary analysis to identify, assess, and report potential insider threats.
• Use host-based detection tools to identify anomalous activity.
• Correlate security events and digital forensic data.
• Build threat profiles and monitor user activity across logs.
• Prepare written analytical reports and support incident response.
• Maintain case files in centralized tracking systems.

,The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $90,000- $100,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. • Conducts multi-disciplinary analysis integrating security, counterintelligence, law enforcement, and computer network defense information to identify, assess, and report potential insider threats
• Uses specialized host-based detection tools to identify anomalous activity
• Correlates security events, CI information, and digital forensic data
• Builds threat profiles
• Monitors user activity across network and system logs
• Prepares written analytical reports
• Supports incident response
• Maintains case files in centralized tracking systems
• Applies the National Insider Threat Policy and Federal Investigative Standards
• May be required to work shifts or outside core hours
