Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking an IR Engineer II - DLP Response Engineer (Purview) to lead hands-on administration and continuous improvement of Purview DLP and Insider Risk capabilities. You will design policies, tune indicators, and support risk-based escalation across Insider Risk, DLP, and related compliance areas.

You will collaborate with IT, HR, Legal, and business stakeholders to balance risk mitigation with productivity, while validating alerts and refining detection logic in a large

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, information security, data protection, insider risk or related tech function.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and security operations.
• Experience administering Purview or 365 security capabilities.
• Ability to triage alerts, validate evidence, and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and improve Purview DLP/Insider Risk policies and workflows.
• Tune and validate sensitivity labels, trainable classifiers, and policy tips.
• Test policies before production, validate matches and alert behavior.
• Monitor AI-related security and compliance alerts and triage incidents.
• Support case management, evidence collection, escalation routing.
• Investigate insider risk indicators and high-risk data movement scenarios.
