Job Description

The Inside Territory Sales Consultant is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, appointing, and managing agencies in a virtual market to produce profitable sales and growth. This role also involves meeting and exceeding volume and profit objectives, maintaining and growing relationships between the company and appointed agents, serving as a subject matter expert, and supporting division initiatives through mentoring and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recommends agencies to participate in profit-sharing, rewards, and special incentives programs, as well as other sales initiatives.
  2. Solicits new agencies as appropriate, manages virtual agent relationships, evaluates their potential to write quality new business, and appoints qualified new agencies with oversight from the IA Virtual Market Associate Manager.
  3. Consistently exceeds new business production, direct written premium, loss ratio goals, and other KPIs by effectively managing agents within the virtual market.
  4. Serves as a role model for team members, embracing company initiatives such as cross-selling and assisting in training and mentoring new hires.
  5. Terminates agents for lack of production, unprofitable results, or other causes.
  6. Increases the percentage of producing agents within the territory through additional training and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • Experience: 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $57,860.00 - $79,550.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
