Paneltronics is an industry leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of high quality electrical panels, power distribution panels, electrical enclosures, and box-build assemblies. Paneltronics' electrical panels, assemblies, and systems are specified on a wide variety of industrial equipment, specialty vehicles, trucks, boats and military applications worldwide.

Function
  • Generate revenue by proactively soliciting and obtaining sales for the company’s specified products and services.
Position Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Develops sales opportunities by proactively researching and identifying potential accounts for solicitation.
  • Meet or exceed annually set sales goals and objectives.
  • Proactively solicits business from specifically identified new accounts in accordance with the sales strategy. Uses a strategically planned combination of cold call and emails in this effort
  • Proactively manages existing account maintenance and growth by creating a development plan for the accounts.
  • Manages in-coming inquiries from potential new customers with the goal generating new business.

  • Builds strong rapport and loyalty with accounts by providing exceptional and timely customer service and by establishing credibility as their account representative and “go-to” technical contact for our types of products and service.
  • Interprets and understanding application specific technical requirements, providing technical information and proposals to customers and developing accounts.
  • Provides accurate and credible technical information and application specific proposals and solutions to customers.
  • Provides proposals and quotes for standard products.
  • Provides proposals and quotes (estimated by Engineering) for custom products.
  • Promptly follows-up and follows-through on all proposals and quotes in an effort to obtain the business.
  • Coordinates with the Sales Manager to help close on the business and/or negotiate objections.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions, technical documents, and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction from the initial inquiry and/or order through manufacturing and shipping.
  • Answer customer calls and inquiries promptly within predetermined time periods.
  • Effectively handle customer inquiries, concerns, and/or complaints.
  • Communicate customer concerns/complaints to the department manager.
  • Accurately complete and process orders in accordance with predetermined formats and parameters.
  • Assist Accounting Department in collecting past due payments from assigned accounts when needed.
  • Work within the guidelines as detailed in the Paneltronics Employee Handbook.
  • Assist with other miscellaneous tasks within the organization.
Experience Requirements
  • Three (3) or more years of technical sales experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of a range of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

  • Effectively use our Windows based Customer Relationship Management (Visual CRM) program to manage and maintain all existing and prospective customer information, tasks, and history.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management and personnel, both internal and external.

  • Effective negotiation skills with an ability to close deals and/or overcome objectives to close deals.
  • Work independently, following specific and detailed instructions about required tasks and expected results.

Work Schedule
  • Work schedule and company policies are as detailed on the Employee Handbook.
  • The minimum work week for Managers and Salaried personnel must comprise of 40 hours, while the work week should average a minimum of 45 hours.
Compensation
  • Base Salary plus Commission.
