Job summary

SITECH Allegheny is seeking an Inside Service Technician in Pittsburgh, PA to service Trimble hardware and software. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair optical, laser and electronic construction positioning equipment, and become factory certified on relevant tools and software.

You will activate software, pair subscriptions, and provide technical support while maintaining professional standards and coordinating with service managers and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair and diagnostic work.
• Familiarity with Trimble and SITECH product lines is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate equipment to factory specifications.
• Become field trained and factory certified on relevant equipment and software.
• Diagnose hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
• Determine the most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime.
• Explain repair, new product, and extended warranty options to customers.
• Provide prompt and effective service for customers.
• Provide technical support to customers on operational and maintenance aspects of system equipment.
• Install & Activate Trimble Software onto Trimble Hardware.
• Pair Trimble’s Software Subscriptions with Trimble’s Hardware.
• Maintain optical tooling and testing equipment.
• Maintain a professional company image.
• Follow/adheres to defined organizational processes and procedures.
