Qualifications

• Previous metals sales experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs and ability to use them daily.
• Strong keyboarding and math skills.
• Basic purchase order reading.
• Ability to listen and organize daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of general shop procedures and safety rules.
• Ability and willingness to cooperate with coworkers and work as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming sales calls, inquiries, orders, expedites and complaints promptly and completely.
• Places outgoing calls to quote follow-ups including expedites.
• Places cold calls to customers with dormant accounts.
• Processes orders and inquiries from phone/email.
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Able to use AS400 and complete paperwork accurately.
• Able to use communication devices proficiently.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Wears approved PPE such as safety glasses when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management by deadline.
