Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for coaching and supporting a team? Join our team as an Inside Sales Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in the success of our Inside Sales Representatives by ensuring call quality, compliance, and performance standards are met. In this dynamic, hybrid role, you'll use your Medicare knowledge and communication skills to provide hands-on coaching, maintain critical documentation, and lead process improvement initiatives. From analyzing performance during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) to supporting marketing campaigns, you'll be driving impact and fostering a high-performing, customer-focused environment. Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or direct and applicable work experience.
- Life and Health Insurance License, or the ability to successfully obtain license within 60 days.
- 4+ years of health insurance or related industry experience; including experience with Medicare product portfolio (i.e., group, individual, and Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage and Medicare and Medicare Part D products).
- Experience working in environments such as a call center or phone-based sales.
- Experience providing feedback and coaching to both individuals and groups to strengthen their knowledge and skills and as a result improving performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build trust and solid relationships with team members.
- Ability to provide expertise and knowledge of complex products, benefit plans, contract language, insurance guidelines/regulations and market segments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex concepts across varying departments within an organization.
- Ability to perform, document, and/or guide others through the flow of work while maintaining accuracy and timely SLAs; ability to make and recommend process improvements where necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while proactively building and leveraging collaborative, strategic relationships that support business objectives and drive results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Life and Health Insurance license required or successfully obtain license within 60 days of hire.
- Complete quality audits of ISR’s to ensure accuracy of calls, enrollments, and compliance requirements. Responsible for accurately recording and documenting calls and findings for leader review.
- Provide feedback, guidance and coaching to team members on quality findings. Ensure team member relationships are successfully developed and maintained through positive interactions. Will also serve as a subject matter expert to ISR’s to answer questions and provide guidance in all segments.
- Complete, review and provide daily reports during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) to the Joint Venture (JV) and internal stakeholders. Responsible for various other reporting including but not limited to pulling weekly production reports for ISR’s to provide to leadership, posting daily sales reports during AEP, etc.
- Develop, maintain and update training documentation, desk level procedures and policy tech documents.
- Monitor sales inbox; listen to voicemails, send out leads to get utilizing the lead spreadsheet, handle incoming faxes and ensure they are sent to the appropriate owner or department, lead out leads that come in for small group for Iowa and South Dakota, handle incoming mail and handle mail for small group. Ensure inquiries are responded to with timely, effective and accurate information.
- Run mail merge and ensure mailing labels are printed as needed, or complete manual mailing labels runs as needed.
- Manage inside sales scans inbox and KOVIS all applications sent in by agents. Ensure that agent applications are saved in the appropriate folder with accurate agent information.
- Handle incoming personalized requests from agents on mail going out for the prospect or member.
- Ensure Thank You cards are sent to prospective members. Document Thank You cards sent back in Excel template and send out monthly results to the agents.
- Maintain supplies to ensure adequate supply of business cards, thank you cards and mailing supplies.
- Identify and implement process improvements as needed.
- Support project-related activities such as marketing campaigns, new products, etc., as needed.
- Provide support to Team Leader in various activities including but not limited to monitoring call queues, triaging calls if queue volume increases, Secret Shopper and CMS Study.
- Other duties as assigned.
