Job summary

Ferguson in Amarillo, TX is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support pricing proposals, bids, and provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives. This role involves coordinating between customers and internal teams and contributing to order accuracy and timely fulfillment.

You will train across warehouse, yard, and counter while handling administrative duties and maintaining strong customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales support, customer service, or related role.
• Waterworks or construction environment experience is a plus.
• Comfort with physically demanding work is required.
• Ability to transition between warehouse, yard, counter, and administrative duties.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation, persuasion, and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills is a plus.

Inside Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team, located in Amarillo, TX.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed pricing proposals and quotations for products and services across various projects.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids, researching projects, and assisting with prospecting efforts.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives, supporting efforts to generate sales in the utility market segment.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation that outlines product information and solution details.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication, timely order fulfillment, and resolution of technical or service-related issues.
• Oversee and support the full Order-to-Invoice cycle, ensuring quality standards are upheld and all corrective actions and field quality reports are managed effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and complete other duties as assigned.
• This role involves training in the warehouse, yard and counter.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or related role.
• Experience in the Waterworks industry or a construction environment is a plus
• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work
• Ability to transition between warehouse, yard, counter, and administrative duties as needed
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Developing knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation, persuasion, and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; experience in project management is a plus

Pay Range

$18.71 - $29.92
