Job description

Inside Sales Representative, Technology Renewals

Location: Hybrid | Type: Full Time | Experience: 3 to 5+ years | Pay: $70K-$85K base, plus tiered commission and quarterly MBO bonus

About the Role

We're hiring an Inside Sales Representative to own a portfolio of renewable technology business across federal, commercial, and higher-education customers. This isn't prospecting or transactional selling. You'll manage complex technology renewals and lifecycle opportunities from the earliest planning conversations all the way through award, balancing customer engagement with pricing strategy, financial analysis, procurement coordination, and long-range pipeline management.

The company is an enterprise technology solutions provider that helps large organizations plan, price, and execute multiyear renewals across software, hardware, subscriptions, and services. Deals move through OEMs, distributors, prime contractors, and contract vehicles, so the work rewards someone who can hold a pricing model and a customer relationship in their head at the same time.

This is a metrics-driven seat. You\'ll own revenue forecasts, gross profit, and quote accuracy, not just account relationships. If you enjoy working with numbers as much as customers, and you want to run a book of business like it\'s your own, this is that role.

What You\'ll Do
  • Own an assigned portfolio of renewable business across federal, commercial, and higher-education accounts
  • Build account strategies that protect retention and grow revenue, gross profit, and long-term account value
  • Drive renewals toward quote initiation at least 90 days before service expiration, and engage even earlier when procurement timelines (MRRs, budget cycles, acquisition planning, refresh initiatives) call for it
  • Develop and manage pricing for software, hardware, subscriptions, professional services, and multiyear renewals, validating OEM and distributor pricing, contract fees, and margin targets
  • Move opportunities through multiple procurement paths: direct, contract vehicles, prime contractors, distributors, and channel partners
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineering, Finance, Operations, OEMs, and distributors to keep quotes accurate through every revision
  • Maintain accurate revenue forecasts and healthy pipeline, with the CRM discipline to back it up
  • Spot expansion, cross-sell, and upsell openings inside existing accounts and act on them
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5+ years in enterprise technology sales, strategic renewals, channel sales, account management, sales operations, deal desk, complex quoting, or technology procurement
  • Track record managing enterprise technology renewals, licensing, or multimillion-dollar customer portfolios
  • Direct experience working with OEMs, distributors, channel partners, or enterprise procurement organizations
  • Strong financial and analytical chops: you can interpret pricing, calculate gross profit and margin, weigh competing pricing scenarios, and decide with data
  • Comfort managing long sales cycles that require multiple quote revisions and cross-functional coordination
  • Strong CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and advanced Excel skills
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting federal government, commercial enterprise, or higher-education procurement
  • Familiarity with leading cybersecurity and infrastructure technologies (for example Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Microsoft, VMware, Zscaler, Rubrik, Cohesity)
  • Experience working through public-sector and enterprise distributors such as Carahsoft, ImmixGroup, TD SYNNEX, or Ingram Micro
Why Join Us

You'll join a team that treats renewals as a discipline, not a formality, where success is measured in forecast accuracy, margin, and clean execution rather than activity for its own sake. There's real ownership here: the portfolio is yours to run, and the outcomes are yours to earn.

For a sales professional who likes solving pricing and procurement puzzles as much as talking to customers, this is a rare chance to be paid on measurable business results.
