Job description

This role offers remote flexibility with in-office presence as needed. Candidates must be within a reasonable driving distance of a local facility to be considered.

This position is based in:

Jacksonville, FL - 9000 Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32256

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of sales experience
  • Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and professional phone etiquette
  • Comfortable in an inbound/outbound call environment
  • Independent, accountable, and a self-starter
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Experience with consultative or solution selling preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote or hybrid setting

Job Summary

Responsible for facilitating the sales process to generate new opportunities or upsell via phone, email, or other electronic communication. Oversee responses to customer orders and quotations from various accounts received via outside sales, phone, email, written, or fax correspondence.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Prospect for new sales opportunities through outbound calling and emailing
  • Manage the sales process, including project management, tracking orders, resolving issues, and providing customer support
  • Achieve profitable growth by meeting sales quotas
  • Determine product pricing using the pricing matrix and other resources
  • Develop code directives for certain products while maintaining target margins
  • Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as needed

Nature and Scope

  • Refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor
  • Work under general supervision, exercising judgment within well-defined policies and procedures

Work Environment

  • Primarily located in a comfortable indoor setting with infrequent unpleasant conditions
  • Mostly sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light items
  • Overnight travel less than 10% of the time

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED preferred; specialized training or certification may be required; typically 2-5 years of relevant experience
