Role Overview

PacBio is seeking a high-energy, opportunity-focused Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to accelerate growth across the life-science and genomics markets. You will be on the front-line uncovering, qualifying, and nurturing opportunities that expand PacBio’s reach. Your success will be measured by the pipeline you build and the revenue you generate from new prospects and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Champion a team-first mindset: Serve as the bridge between marketing campaigns, inbound demand, and field execution, ensuring high alignment and clear communication across teams.
  2. Drive prospecting strategy: Execute targeted outbound and inbound campaigns to generate high-quality leads and opportunities.
  3. Own top-of-funnel growth: Research, map, and expand a robust pipeline of accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  4. Qualify opportunities: Assess customer needs, timelines, budgets, and decision processes according to PacBio’s sales methodology.
  5. Service contract renewals: Engage existing customers proactively to secure renewals and upsell multi-year agreements.
  6. Instrument consumables utilization: Partner with sales and service teams to drive consumables on active instruments.
  7. Collaborate with field sales: Work closely with sales teams to ensure seamless hand-offs and follow-up.
  8. Leverage the tech stack: Utilize CRM and marketing tools to track activities and optimize outreach.
  9. Deliver customer insights: Provide real-time market and customer feedback to marketing and sales teams.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Genetics, or related life sciences.
  2. Strong understanding of genetics and molecular biology applications.
  3. At least 1 year in sales development, inside sales, or pipeline-focused roles within life sciences or genomics.
  4. Proven ability to meet or exceed pipeline and renewal targets.
  5. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  6. Focus on building long-term customer relationships and revenue.
  7. Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Over 1 year of genomics or laboratory research experience.
  2. Over 2 years in opportunity development or sales in life sciences or genomics.
  3. Master’s degree in Biology, Genetics, or related field.
  4. Familiarity with NGS and genotyping technologies.
  5. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  6. Experience with prospecting tools, CRM, and multichannel outreach strategies.
