Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring an Inside Sales Rep who will be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and expert product guidance. You will assist customers, create estimates, process transactions, and follow up on quotes while supporting Outside Sales Reps.

In addition to base pay, compensation is commission-based with no cap, reflecting performance and store goals. This role emphasizes teamwork and a people-first culture, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who walk into the store and share product information.
• Provide advice on project needs and produce estimates for packages/projects.
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes.
• Qualify new leads through cold calls and support Outside Sales Reps.
• Assist in inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving overages/shortages.

Description

When a customer walks in the store, you will be there to assist them. You will share product information, give advice on their project needs, produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions. You will also follow up on online customer quotes, cold call to qualify new leads, support the Outside Sales Reps as needed, and assist in inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving overages/shortages.

Each ISR completestraining to learn our products, our POS System, and how to fill out paperwork. Salary + commission! Our commission is structured so that there is no limit to your compensation.
