Job summary

Carter Lumber in Ohio is seeking an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) who will be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and expert product guidance. You will assist customers, share information, and help with estimates and transactions, while supporting sales teams and inventory control.

The role emphasizes a people-first culture with uncapped commission potential. Training is provided to learn products and POS systems, offering a clear growth path within a family-owned company.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who walk in the store and share product information.

• Assist in inventory control through cycle counts and resolving overages/shortages.

Description

When a customer walks in the store, you will be there to assist them. You will share product information, give advice on their project needs, produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions. You will also follow up on online customer quotes, cold call to qualify new leads, support the Outside Sales Reps as needed, and assist in inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving overages/shortages.

Each ISR completestraining to learn our products, our POS System, and how to fill out paperwork. Salary + commission! Our commission is structured so that there is no limit to your compensation.
