Job summary

ABC Supply is seeking an Inside Sales Associate in Plainfield, New Jersey. You will help customers select roofing, siding and window products, process orders, and coordinate pickups and deliveries.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a team player attitude. Experience in roofing or construction sales is preferred; forklift experience helpful; eligible after 60 days for benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in roofing, siding, and windows preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers’ needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Follow product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and upsell additional products.
• Answer telephones and enter sales orders.
• Accept payment and apply to the customer account.
• Coordinate customer pick ups with the warehouse.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and accuracy.
• Reorder products to keep shelves stocked.
• Address and resolve service concerns if they arise.

Responsibilities

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred

Pay Rate Information: $18-20/hr. Based on experience and qualifications.
