Job summary

ABC Supply, the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to help customers select roofing, siding, windows, and related supplies, and to process orders with accuracy.

In this role you will identify customer needs, upsell complementary products, coordinate pickups with the warehouse, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining excellent service. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in roofing, siding and windows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization.
• Detail oriented and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers' needs and recommend products and solutions.
• Follow a product/supply checklist and upsell additional products.
• Answer telephones and enter sales orders.
• Coordinate customer pickups with the warehouse.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and accuracy.
• Reorder products to keep shelves stocked.
• Address and resolve service concerns.

Specific duties may include:

• Determining customers' needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer's job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific qualifications include:

• 1-2 years' experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented

Pay Rate Information:

$18-23/hr. Based on experience and qualifications.
