Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is hiring for a procurement-focused role in Tucson, AZ. The position supports procurement functions, quotes customers, interacts with vendors, and processes orders from entry to completion.

Training is provided; emphasis on detail, prioritization, and professional communication. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in purchasing or supply chain, knowledge of contracts, and ability to work with multiple departments under time pressure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with purchasing, quoting, or supply chain.
• Experience interfacing with all levels of an organization.
• Knowledge of contract principles.
• Construction/Electrical industry experience or knowledge.
• Thorough attention to detail and strong prioritization skills.
• Able to meet time sensitive deadlines on a regular basis.
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally (oral and written).
• Familiar with procurement and quoting processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for all procurement functions, including: competitive sourcing, purchasing, and arranging for shipment of materials.
• Respond appropriately and professionally to customer inquiries.
• Work with vendors and/or internal departments to provide comprehensive quotes to customers.
• Review customer specifications and work with vendors and internal departments to ensure quotes are technically correct and competitive.
• Process customer orders from receipt of order to project completion, including: initial order entry and setup, issuance of purchase orders to vendors, and/or coordinate order with internal departments as required.
• Coordinate with Sales Representatives to determine and/or clarify customer project requirements.
• Support internal departments with their purchasing and quoting needs.
• Various administrative and clerical duties.
• Lead with integrity and prioritize safety. You demonstrate high standards and commit to a safe, ethical workplace.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, quotations, supply chain, and is able to effectively communicate with vendors and customers. Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to re-prioritize work in a rapidly changing environment. Experience is preferred, but not required as training would be provided to the right candidate.
