Job summary

Florida Industrial Products Inc in Tampa, FL is seeking an inside sales representative to handle both sales and customer service. You will enter orders, respond to phone calls and emails, and coordinate with vendors and outside sales to ensure orders ship promptly.

The inside sales position handles both sales and customer service. An inside sales representative communicates daily with customers, vendors, outside sales, and our warehouse to make sure that orders are quoted and shipped in a timely manner. Duties for this position include:

• Entry of customer orders and quotes into our order processing system
• Answer phone calls and emails to assist customers
• Provide excellent customer service including assessing customer needs, providing recommendations/solutions, and updating customers on order status
• Track open sales orders and purchase orders
• Review inventory availability and communicate with purchasing
• Order non-stock or short items from approved vendors
• Identify revenue opportunities in collaboration with outside sales representatives
• Always expand product knowledge to better assist customers

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills to answer phone calls and assist customers
