Ferguson in South Burlington, VT is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The role focuses on detailed pricing, supporting sales opportunities, and providing product information to external reps, helping grow the utility market.

You will manage the Order-to-Invoice cycle, ensure timely fulfillment, and maintain customer documentation. The position requires 1–3 years in sales support, and a valid license; expected schedule Monday–Friday with potential overtime.

Qualifications

Inside Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team, located in South Burlington, VT.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm, and overtime based on business needs

Pay

starting at $20 per hour or higher depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed pricing proposals and quotations for products and services across various projects.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids, researching projects, and assisting with prospecting efforts.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives, supporting efforts to generate sales in the utility market segment.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation that outlines product information and solution details.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication, timely order fulfillment, and resolution of technical or service-related issues.
• Oversee and support the full Order-to-Invoice cycle, ensuring quality standards are upheld and all corrective actions and field quality reports are managed effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and complete other duties as assigned.
• Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or related role.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• Developing knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation, persuasion, and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; experience in project management is a plus
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly.
• Prior forklift experience or the willingness to learn

Pay Range

$18.71 - $29.92

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.

Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
