Job summary

ABC Supply Co. is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to help customers select roofing, siding, and window products and to support orders from start to finish.

You will determine customers' needs, answer calls, enter sales orders, process payments, coordinate pickups, and strive to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining a high level of service and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in roofing, siding, and windows preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Detail and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers' needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Follow a product/supply checklist and up-sell additional products.
• Answer telephones and enter sales orders.
• Accept payment and apply to the appropriate customer account.
• Coordinate customer pick ups with the warehouse.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure timely arrival and accuracy.
• Reorder products to keep shelves stocked.
• Address and resolve service concerns.

Specific duties may include:

• Determining customers' needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer's job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific qualifications include:

• 1-2 years' experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
