Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Greenville, SC is seeking an inside/counter sales associate to handle product inquiries, take customer orders, and coordinate delivery with dispatch and vendors in a fast-paced office.

You will work with outside sales as needed, reference catalogs and specs for product uses, and help customers with design ideas while maintaining strong customer service. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Previous sales experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Some forklift experience preferred.

• Receive customer phone calls; provide support to customers and contractors via phone and in person.
• Refer to product catalogs and specification guides to determine related product uses and applications.
• Work closely with outside sales representatives regarding sales promotions and initiatives which require phone contact and follow-up.
• Help customers with design ideas/problems; provide customer feedback to management.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch and maintain customer informed of such schedules.
• Retrieve information for credit department when needed.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for inside sales and/or counter sales. The individual in this role is responsible for answering product inquiries, taking customer orders, coordinating delivery with dispatch, internal company departments, and vendors in a fast-paced office. This position is often combined with customer service initiatives and providing support to outside sales representatives as needed.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent or comparable combination of education, experience or training in related field
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Previous sales experience
• Experience with multi-line phone system preferred
• Knowledge of concrete masonry is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Some forklift experience preferred
